My period has been irregular, do I have PCOS?

The most worrying thing for women is menstruation. They have to be careful when it comes. It’s troublesome if it comes at the wrong time. When menstruation doesn’t come for a long time, they even wonder if they have PCOS.

Did you know? One in 10 women has PCOS, and 20-30% of PCOS patients face high cholesterol and high blood sugar. But almost half of women don’t actually know they have PCOS.

The Most Common Symptoms of PCOS

1) Irregular menstruation: In a year, you may only have 3-4 times of menstruation, or even no menstruation for half a year.

2) The problem of being overweight or obese: Even though you eat a balanced diet, you still can’t lose weight no matter how much you lose weight.

3) The skin is prone to acne and has strong oil secretion.

4) I have more hair on my hands and feet than my female friends

Then maybe you have PCOS. If you want to confirm whether you really have PCOS, you still need to pass a physical examination.

1) Ultrasound test - you can see whether there are many immature follicles in the ovaries

2) If you need to prepare for pregnancy, or confirm your hormone levels, you need to arrange a hormone test to check androgen levels, estrogen levels, etc.

Generally, reports of PCOS women will find that the LH:FSH ratio is relatively high (LH is between 10-20; FSH is around 4-8)

If you are currently facing the problem of irregular menstruation, it is recommended to arrange a gynecological examination to understand the situation. Instead of waiting in vain, it is better to understand the body and solve the problem as soon as possible~
