How to increase HDL cholesterol?

After medical check up, HDL cholesterol, also known as the so-called good cholesterol, was relatively low. How can I increase it?


We all know that in addition to diet, which can help regulate bad cholesterol, exercise is actually effective in helping to increase HDL cholesterol.


  • If you don't have the habit of exercising before, you can start with something simple, such as slow walking. When you start exercising, you can start with something you are interested in and start with your ability, then slowly increase the frequency and intensity.

  • According to the Ministry of Health's guidelines, 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise per week, such as running, cycling, and playing ball, is recommended to help maintain health. If you want to achieve more health benefits, you can increase it to 30-45 minutes a day.

  • In addition to aerobic exercise, there are other exercises that can be arranged, such as resistance training for muscle mass building and yoga to improve flexibility.
