I believe when we come to think about good oil, the first thing that comes to our mind should be olive oil. In fact, there is a recommended ratio intake for different types of healthy oils / good fats.
The recommended ratio omega 6: omega 3 is:4️⃣:1️⃣
which means we should get one portion of omega 3 rich foods for every 4 portion of omega 6 rich foods.
However, in fact, the current ratio based on our diet now is:
omega 6: omega 3 is about 20 to 1 . This indicates that our current diet is high in omega 6 than the recommended bench mark.
Hence, we have to adjust our fat intake, by ⬇️reducing omega 6 rich foods and ⬆️ increasing omega 3 rich foods.
